Pastor William Jones

In March 2024, The Pennsylvania State Executive Office of the Church of God, appointed Minister William Jones as the Interim Pastor of the Pittsburgh Northside Church of God, following the retirement announcement of Pastor Yvonne Burns. 

Concurrently, Rev. Yvonne Burns was appointed to serve as Pastor Emeritus during the transition of leadership,  maintaining  the Mission Statement: 

'To provide a Christ-Centered environment where men, women and children are educated, equipped and empowered as servant-leaders for the Kingdom of God’.

The  Church

The Church of God was founded in 1886 upon the principles of Christ as they are revealed in the Bible, the Word of God. It has its foundation of faith and practice in the Scriptures and the vital experience of its constituents is scripturally oriented.

2. The virgin birth and complete deity of Christ.
3. The atoning sacrifice of Christ's death for the sins of the world.

Our Declaration of Faith

The Church of God believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. The Church of God has adopted the Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression of its doctrine.

Our Location

The Manchester neighborhood is located on the Northside of  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It has a representation on Pittsburgh City Council by the council member for District 6 which includes the Northshore/Downtown neighborhoods. This is also the home  to Heinz Field, PNC Park, the Andy Warhol Museum and the famous Pittsburgh Incline.   

Our Services

Our In-person services has  resumed since the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Our primary concern is the health, safety and well-being for everyone.  Until further notice, we will have an In-Person services each Sunday at 11:15 am.  

For those who cannot attend In-person, please join us at one of the remote online services mentioned on this page.
